2013 Meeting

The 2013 meeting will take place on Friday-Saturday, February 15-16 at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. The keynote speaker will be Gerald J. Postema, Boshamer Professor of Philosophy and Professor of Law at UNC Chapel Hill, and the Presidential Address will be delivered by Christian Miller, Director of The Character Project and Associate Professor of Philosophy at Wake Forest University.

Travel and Lodging

Driving directions to East Carolina University can be found here. For those traveling by plane to the conference, connections into the local Pitt-Greenville (PGV) airport are available from Charlotte (CLT); the nearest international airport is Raleigh/Durham (RDU, roughly 90 minutes by car).

60 rooms (20 kings and 40 doubles) have been blocked for Feb. 15-16 at the Hampton Inn Greenville. The rooms will be held for NCPS participants until Feb. 1 at a group rate of $99.00. Reserve rooms by phone at 252-355-7400, and say that you are with the NCPS.

Shuttle service will be available between the local airport (PGV) and the Hampton Inn.

Parking, Registration, and Sessions

Participants will be able to park in the CH-03 lot after 11am on Friday. Several lots will be available Saturday. Parking passes are not required. The parking officials have suspended the permits for the CH-03 lot on Friday beginning at 11am. (If you park there before 11am, however, you might be in trouble.) There will be three lots available for parking all day Saturday and no passes are needed.

Registration will be in Brewster Building D-104. Buildings and rooms for sessions are indicated on the program. There will also be a room guide in the folders distributed at registration.

The registration fee (cash or check only) will be $5 for undergraduates, $15 for graduate students, and $25 for faculty. Please note that there is no advance registration.
